The Role of Critical Access Hospitals
Critical Access Hospitals are vital to the health and well-being of rural populations. Established to ensure that patients in medically underserved areas receive essential care, CAHs provide emergency services, inpatient care, and community health support. However, due to their size and resource limitations, they often face challenges in delivering highly specialized services such as interventional cardiology or advanced cardiac imaging.
